The economy of Zambia by Virgile


Zambia gets its main operating income from copper and cobalt mining. 
This exploitation represents 75% of their economy.  

This pie chart illustrates the importance of natural ressources and more particularly of the exploitation of copper and cobalt. 

The other minerals represent only 2,6%, among these minerals there are silver, uranium, lead, coal, zinc, gold, and emerald.  

The main industries of Zambia is based on copper mining and processing 
 
The second main part is agriculture which is based on crops, livestock and fisheries.  

The most cultivated crops is corn. This is explained by the fact that Zambia is a country, which in addition to owned many mines, also has a lot of fertile land. 
Another big part of the economy and tourism with national parks is the Victoria Falls as well as the safari
 Virgile C.
