Project Zambia


The Zambia project is a project which begin in 2002 and the goal is to help refuges and a poor peoples. But the project does not have that goal but it does not have that goal it has a lot of others but I will talk about that there. And I’ll speak special situation for illustrate.
The Zambia project started with help for a poor school in Lusaka in Zambia. Then the project gained momentum and spread across the country. The project is now do by the Congregation of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and a NGO Edmund Rice international. The project help the Misisi compound it’s a bigger shanty town where live around 80,000 people whether Zambians or migrants. It’s a disadvantage area in sub-Saharan. In this place the life expectancy is just 32 years old and lot of people die because of HIV which common for adults and children. And there aren’t clean water and there are cholera outbreaks. It’s for what the Zambia project has made this location priority target. For help this population the project use a special way. The members of the project work with the inhabitants to better be able to identify the problems. The first goal in this situation is to built a device to have a clean water. And after this the second goals is to think about the solution short and long term like a the development of agriculture for the people can provide for them. The development has already started with the chicken coop installation.
