In Tanzania there are more than 120 ethnic groups. The most populous ethnic group in Tanzania is the soukouma group, it formed more than 15 percent of the total population from Tanzania. But today the ethnic group that interests us, the Haya. THey represent 3,7 percent of the total population from Tanzania. The Haya are a Bantu ethnic and linguistic group(The bantus they represent 95 percent of tanzania ) based in Kagera Region, located in the northwest of Tanzania.





They are believed to be among the region's first inhabitants to cast iron and were part of the Urewe pottery culture of making iron. The king has a very important place in this group, big decisions like going to war were taken by the king. The death of a king caused a period of mourning which demanded that everyone in the kingdom cease all work until a new king is installed. This ethnic group also had a great colonization. She has there tradition for the foods, the health and these rituals.
