The massai ethnicity by Théophile

 The maasai

The Maasai people live in northern Tanzania and Kenya.
For shelter, the Maasai use small houses built of branches, covered with mud and cow dung that dry out and become waterproof and strong.

Livestock is very important to the Maasai because it is their primary source of food. Livestock also represents their wealth. The more cattle they own, the richer they will be.

Most of the time a Maasai family owns cows, goats and sheep. The cattle are not locked up but are left in the wild, mixed with other cattle but never far from the village. In order to recognize his cattle, the animals are marked with a sign that indicates their belonging.

The Maasaïs have a monotheistic religion. The Maasai people speak Maa and Swahili.

The Maasai have several traditions such as dance. The best known is a kind of competition between men. This dance consists of jumping as high as possible, feet together.

It is also important to know that the Maasai feed most often on blood mixed with milk.
