Solar Project : Tanzania
Special School For Deaf Children
The Pierre Termier high school has organized a humanitarian project
in Tanzania which consist in bringing an electricity support to have
a decent school for deaf children installed in the village of Endulen
in Arusha Region which measures 12 hectares. This project exists to
help deaf children getting a quality education because they are
discriminated owing to their disability, so their parents hide them
and they can’t enjoy an education. That project also aims for
inequality reduction by helping these children. The Pierre Termier
high school asked help to associations with experience and skills
like Énergie Sans Frontières to organize the trip and the equipment
in order to electrify the school in Endulen to assure working devices
like computers, tablets and refrigerators (to provide good food to
children). All of this operation costs a lot of money but it will
worth it because of the many advantages there will be : helping
people in need, meeting people from a foreign country and the human
experience behind all that. To conclude, this project respect the UN's sustainable development goal number four because it provides a quality education to deaf children.
